Brand identity and packaging concept for one of Australia’s beloved gin labels.

Description
This concept project explores how Applewood could strengthen its shelf presence through a more distinctive and story-led brand and packaging system. Grounded in its mission to celebrate and conserve Australia’s unique landscapes, the work reimagines how the brand communicates its values at the point of sale.
The idea centres on the landscapes that inspire each gin, using them as the foundation for a more expressive visual identity. Each variant is designed to reflect a specific environment, connecting flavour to place and reinforcing Applewood’s commitment to conservation. Rather than treating packaging as decoration, the system positions it as a storytelling device.
Every design decision is shaped to build a clearer connection between product and purpose, inviting consumers to engage with the environments behind the brand. The result is a cohesive identity that balances clarity with character, elevating Applewood’s presence in a competitive retail landscape.
The final outcome is a bold, narrative-driven packaging system that captures attention on the shelf while reinforcing Applewood’s commitment to protecting the natural landscapes that define its products.
