Brand identity concept for an innovative science education business.
Overview
Orbit is a scientific journal publishing concept designed for general audiences with curious minds. It seeks to draw a broad range of people into a world of scientific discovery through Instagram in a fast, digestible, and accessible format. Ultimately, the vision for the brand is to be the most accessible source of scientific information that people use to learn something new daily.
To bring this vision to life, I named the brand Orbit—a name chosen for its distinctiveness, simplicity, and alignment with its mission. Building on this foundation, we developed a visual identity that relates well to the name and the mission. The identity captured the essence of Orbit’s purpose, using simple 2D graphics and photography that embodies the spirit of exploration and scientific curiosity.
The result is a brand identity that captures Orbit’s mission, facilitates fast and efficient production of new content, and stands out from other scientific journals.
